Interested in reading about horses?

This blog is all about horse books which are available on Amazon, mainly as eBooks for your Kindle but there are also paper books as well. Each day, free eBooks are updated for that day - grab them quick (no limit on the number given away on the day it is free). If you don't have a Kindle but want a free Kindle reading app from Amazon, click the link below (yes, it is free). It only takes a few minutes to get one on your computer, laptop, Android, iPhone or iPad and allows you to access the million or so eBooks available on Amazon. All links on this blog are safe ones which will only take you to Amazon.

Please let your friends and forums know about this blog - the more books that can be given away, the more the authors are promoted, which is why they agree to make them free for a few days. (And if you don't have a Kindle... consider one - I bought one for me, one for my daughter and a third for my 75 year old mother, and I linked the accounts so that every book I buy or pick up for free can be put on any or all Kindles. All of us love our Kindles!)

FLAME THE FIRE HORSE is available from Amazon as an eBook for Kindle for $2.99
Flame was written over 25 years ago and ran as a serial in The Horse Magazine, one of Australia's leading horse magazines (then and now) and is currently running as a serial in the leading on-line western horse magazine Western Horse On-Line

Flame the Fire Horse is a legendary horse of the outback whose fate was entwined with the fires that came to the heartland of Australia each year. A stockman, John, knows Flame for all of his life and records the amazing stories about the chestnut stallion before their final heart-breaking encounter.
There are also four short stories about horses that author has known - four delightful true stories to make you laugh and cry and wonder at the magic of horses. There is a hilarious tale about Dusty, a pony who pulls a cart and teaches a bully a lesson he'll never forget. There's the tragic story of Barney and His Mate (warning, tissues required for this one). Jingo - The Smartest Pony Ever is a tribute to one of the great ponies of the outback. The Greatest Race is an inspiring insight into the heart of a racehorse.

A great collection of stories suitable for young readers as well as teens and adults who like horses.

(If you don't have a Kindle, click here to go to the official Amazon site where you can download a free Kindle reading app for you computer, laptop, iPhone or iPad. It only takes a minute or two and allows you to access all the great books on Amazon - well over a million, and there are many hundreds of horse books to choose from, including free ones.)
