Interested in reading about horses?

This blog is all about horse books which are available on Amazon, mainly as eBooks for your Kindle but there are also paper books as well. Each day, free eBooks are updated for that day - grab them quick (no limit on the number given away on the day it is free). If you don't have a Kindle but want a free Kindle reading app from Amazon, click the link below (yes, it is free). It only takes a few minutes to get one on your computer, laptop, Android, iPhone or iPad and allows you to access the million or so eBooks available on Amazon. All links on this blog are safe ones which will only take you to Amazon.

Please let your friends and forums know about this blog - the more books that can be given away, the more the authors are promoted, which is why they agree to make them free for a few days. (And if you don't have a Kindle... consider one - I bought one for me, one for my daughter and a third for my 75 year old mother, and I linked the accounts so that every book I buy or pick up for free can be put on any or all Kindles. All of us love our Kindles!)

Today's free eBooks are in the post below this one.  Here is a collection of books (and they are paper books, not digital eBooks) about preparing and going to horse shows. Have a good look at the prices - there are new prices which might be paperback (cheaper) or hardback (more expensive) but most of the books also have second hand prices and you can buy them in great condition for a fraction of the new price - a fantastic way to build up a library of good horse books. Some of the new books are on sale at incredibly reduced prices... for example, Competing in Western Shows and Events has been reduced from almost $20 to under $4!

Most of the books will have an American slant to the presentation of horses and keep in mind if you are interested in hacking in Australia, you can use a lot of these ideas but just go to the Horse Deals gallery on-line and check on photos from the recent hack shows to see the latest fashions in plaits, checkers, outfits and gear, as these can change from season to season. The books are for different readers - some for children, some for total beginners to the show scene and others suit those who have been showing for years, some with an English view, others with a Western view.

Just watch the postage if you are in Australia as these are coming from the U.S. - I always take the middle postage, not the priority (which is expensive) as that is usually only a few dollars more than if the book was posted to me from an Australian seller.
