Interested in reading about horses?

This blog is all about horse books which are available on Amazon, mainly as eBooks for your Kindle but there are also paper books as well. Each day, free eBooks are updated for that day - grab them quick (no limit on the number given away on the day it is free). If you don't have a Kindle but want a free Kindle reading app from Amazon, click the link below (yes, it is free). It only takes a few minutes to get one on your computer, laptop, Android, iPhone or iPad and allows you to access the million or so eBooks available on Amazon. All links on this blog are safe ones which will only take you to Amazon.

Please let your friends and forums know about this blog - the more books that can be given away, the more the authors are promoted, which is why they agree to make them free for a few days. (And if you don't have a Kindle... consider one - I bought one for me, one for my daughter and a third for my 75 year old mother, and I linked the accounts so that every book I buy or pick up for free can be put on any or all Kindles. All of us love our Kindles!)

It won't cost you a cent to download these today - they are free. Authors of eBooks on Amazon often promote their books by offering them for free for a day or two to pump up their 'sales' and get some good reviews and star ratings. Each day I have a look through the free lists to try and find any books that have anything to do with horses, and I also add a selection of non-horse books that look worth reading - they could be romance, mystery, cooking, children's eBooks or some other genre. Most days you'll find up to $100 worth of eBooks being given away here and there are no limits on them while they are free, so you can build up a life-time supply of quality free reading material by checking in here each day to find if there's anything that interests you. Some of the free ones here over past weeks have gone on to become best sellers so, although I have reservations about some of the books, there have been some beauties offered up.

If you don't have a Kindle, well, firstly you really should think about getting one as I loved mine so much I bought one for my 21 year old daughter and another for my 75 year old mother and they take theirs every where now (and any eBook I get for free or buy can be put on all three devices so we can all enjoy them without paying twice) and, secondly, if you don't want to spend the money to get a Kindle, you can get a free Kindle reading app from the banner at the top of the page which can go on your computer, laptop, iPhone, iPad, etc. All links on this blog - from the great shopping & Kindle links down the edge of the page and the bottom to all the book links I put up - go to Amazon which is a safe and secure place to shop. I'm in Australia and I buy from them all the time now (I've just bought some of the gorgeous bags and scarves mentioned in some of the 'horse related gift items' posts) - it's cheap and the items arrive quickly, though I do avoid 'priority post' as it is very expensive.

You can also go back over past posts (there's over 100) to find features on horse books (eBooks which you can download as well as paperbacks & hardbacks which you can buy and receive in the mail) for various disciplines and interests such as dressage, reining, barrel racing, racing, etc. and a few on 'most popular horse books ever'. A great way to ensure you find the perfect gift for yourself or a friend who likes horses.

Please let your friends and forums know about Good Horse Books - if they like horses and/or they like reading, they are going to appreciate being able to get hundreds of dollars worth of free eBooks every week.

Books that have something to do with horses which might just be a horse on the cover or maybe there's a cowboy as a character as in Liar's Fire (and where there's a cowboy there has to be a horse somewhere, surely) as there aren't many books about horses available for free... and I refuse to put up a badly written book or one with incorrect advice/information just because it is free):

Books that might have nothing to do with horses but they have great reviews:
